My name is Emy and I'm fundraising for one of my rescue kittens - Caramel. He needs an urgent surgery to remove a polyp from his ear which is causing ongoing pain, loss of hearing and infection. The estimated cost is $2392.

A few months ago, my partner and I found a tiny, sick kitten wandering our street at night. We named him Caramel, and it was clear he needed immediate help. He was struggling to breathe, so we rushed him to the emergency vet. Since then, Caramel has been on quite a journey of recovery.

We’ve done everything we can to give Caramel the care he deserves:

Now, the vet has discovered another polyp in his ear. This one requires a specialized procedure, including an endoscopy and x-rays, to safely remove it. Without this, his ear infection won’t heal, and he risks severe complications, which would be far more expensive to fix and much more traumatic for Caramel.

The estimated cost for the endoscopy and x-rays is $2,392.50. This doesn’t include the follow-up check-ups ($90 each) or any medications he may need after surgery.

We’re reaching out to ask for your help because we cannot afford this procedure on our own. Between caring for Caramel and our three other rescue cats—who also came from difficult situations—our resources are stretched thin. On top of this, we feed a homeless cat twice a day who has decided to live outside our bedroom window of our apartment. He also needs medical attention and a loving home, and we’re doing our best to provide for him once we find the means.

We’ve never asked for help before, but Caramel’s medical needs are beyond what we can manage alone. He’s such a sweet, loving boy who’s been through so much in his short life. He deserves a chance to live pain-free and enjoy his days with his adopted siblings and humans who adore him.

Every dollar raised will go directly towards Caramel’s treatment, follow-up care, and recovery. Any extra funds will be used to provide care for the homeless cat who has taken shelter next to us.
