Caramel is my energetic, outgoing, and loving dog. She’s always ready to give kisses and hugs, and every night she snuggles right between my husband and me. But Caramel has been battling severe skin allergies her whole life—she’s only three, but every month she needs a shot to keep her comfortable and healthy. Without it, she gets red bumps all over her skin, scratches until they turn to scabs, loses patches of her hair, and her skin becomes dry and flaky. The itching is so intense that it affects her sleep and turns her into a completely different dog. It’s heartbreaking to see her exhausted and miserable when she’s usually so full of life.

This has been a huge financial struggle for our family. I am fighting for disability and keep getting denied, while my husband is trying to support our household on a minimum wage income. His hours were recently cut, making it even harder to afford Caramel’s monthly shot. We go to Mesquite Veterinary Hospital, and if you prefer, you can put funds directly on her account there.
