Help Cara sit her A Level exams and get to university

Donation protected
Hi everyone.

As some of you may already know, I very unfortunately suffered from anorexia, the world’s deadliest mental health illness, during my time at sixth form.

Caused by academic stress, depression, personal issues and physical injuries - I was unable to perform as I was predicted to in my exams. This lead me to only being able to sit 2/3 of my subject exams, making me unable to go to university as I had always planned and dreamt of doing. My two years at sixth form were undoubtedly the worst and most horrible two years of my life, having to survive every day in a very dark and cruel mindset. This has sadly impacted my next step into my future studies.

I am currently studying A Level Law and A Level French online (independently) and I am trapped for choices on where and how I can take my exams. Having been unable to resit any of my subjects at sixth form, this is my only option. And also having self funded my studies so far, it’s a lot physically and financially to deal with alone.
This Go Fund Me has been made in hope to help me fund my studies and A Level exams, to get me to university in 2026. Unfortunately, exams outside of sixth form/college are expensive, amounting to a few hundred per subject. This was a massive shock to me, and is sadly another new barrier I have to surmount to get the qualifications I need.

Anything donated would be massively appreciated. I would like to donate any remaining money to the charity Beat, one of the only eating disorder charities in the UK to bring awareness and support to students and people who have suffered. Sadly, almost 25% of students experience eating disorders and eating problems during studies, and anorexia alone has a 10% mortality rate, higher than any other mental health issue. There is simply not enough support for those suffering with this disease, especially for young students like myself.

I would like to say a big thank you for reading this if you have gotten to this point, and I hope my story spreads awareness for others who were held back like myself due to this awful illness.
All donations will be greatly, greatly appreciated and I thank you all for your time & consideration.
Thank you!

Cara :)
