I’m sharing this because I’m in a tough spot and could really use help.

I live in the Sacramento, CA area and work full-time in non-profit mental health services. I’ve been working hard to get my finances back on track, and I also run a small side business, Safe at Home Pet Sitting, to bring in extra income.

This week, my 2015 Ford Fusion’s transmission failed, and the repair estimate is around $7,500. My car is essential for getting to work and keeping my pet-sitting business running—without it, I can’t reliably commute or maintain the extra income I depend on.

I’m exploring more affordable repair options, but even the lowest-cost route still requires a large upfront payment that I can’t cover on my own right now. I’m trying to raise as close to the full amount as possible so I can get back on the road and stay working.

The estimate reflects an initial rebuild quote. I’m continuing to get updated quotes as diagnostics progress, and actual costs may be higher depending on parts and labor needed.
