Help Captain John Fight Colon Cancer!

Last week during a routine colonoscopy we were told that the Doctors found a cancerous tumor in my husband's colon and he will have to have 1/2 of his colon removed. We are in absolute shock and had no idea this could happen to him, just like that, your life can change!
They ordered CT Scans of his chest, abdomen and pelvis to check for any other masses and to see if there were obvious signs that the cancer had spread. Thankfully, the Scans did not show any masses but his liver pinged and additional blood tests will be done to see if there are any cancer cells in his liver.
His surgery is scheduled for 10/12/20 for the removal of the tumor and 1/2 of the colon as well as his associated lymph nodes. They will be checked to see if there is the need for chemotherapy. His recovery time, if nothing else is found will be 8-12 weeks.
The timing of this could not have come at a worse time (of course there is never a good time). We are asking for your help with medical expenses and day to day living expenses during this difficult time. This, on top of the struggles brought on by the virus this year, have taken a serious toll on our finances and him not being able to work during the recovery period, only compounds the situation.
We appreciate any contribution you can make in addition to prayers and well wishes for a successful surgery, speedy recovery and good prognosis.
