Captain is my sweet, strong, and loving dog—my first baby and my best friend. I got him when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, and he’s been by my side ever since. He’s a fighter, always full of love, and has the cutest little snort when he’s hungry. Sometimes he’ll have a bit of an attitude if he doesn’t get his way, but it’s always adorable. Captain means everything to me, and I can’t imagine life without him.

Last night, I was woken up by my boyfriend because something was terribly wrong with Captain. When I picked him up, he was limp, his tongue was blue and purple, and his eyes were bulging. He could barely breathe, and we rushed him to the emergency vet. The doctors are still running tests, but they think it could be heart failure, pneumonia, or even cancer. Right now, we’re waiting for answers, but Captain will need medication and treatment if he’s going to have a chance to recover and stay with us a little longer.

I’ve paid as much as I can, but the costs are overwhelming. I’m reaching out because I am desperate for help. Captain is not just a pet—he’s family, and I want to do everything I can to give him the care he needs. If you can help in any way, it would mean the world to us.
