Help Capo's Stroke Recovery

Donation protected
Hello, My name is Chris. I'm a very proud dog dad to 4 Huskies, and they mean the world to me.

Sadly 2 days before Christmas my oldest and sweetest boy Capo fell ill. I woke up to him vomiting and unable to stand or control his body correctly. Terrified I rushed him to the hospital, and quickly found out that whatever was happening it was going to take a specialist to diagnose. After making the appointment to see a neurologist I was able to spend a full night with him while he was stuck in this daze of scared and confused, not realizing why he wasn't able to move.

Thankfully Dr. Olsen was able to see him in the morning the next day. His concern with the lack of improvement in Capo's motor function prompted the need for an MRI to find out what the cause was. After many tests including blood work, unrine analysis, blood pressure, and checking for any infectious disease. The MRI showed that he had suffered from 2 strokes. I was heartbroken. He's the most gentle loving boy, I couldn't handle the thought of him having to suffer through 1 stroke, let alone 2.

Thankfully after a few days in the ER, capo showed signs of improvement, and was able to walk again! Which meant I could bring him home finally to start his recovery. Serious Vestibular events like these in dogs take weeks to recover from. 3-4 Weeks to be exact. So as of now It's just time, rest, and love that he needs to hopefully make a full recovery.

As you can expect, 3 days in the hospital, multiple tests and an MRI, carries a hefty cost. Unfortunately we still haven't been able to figure out exactly what caused his strokes, so there will be more tests to be run in the future.

I started this fundraiser as a way to help lighten the burden of such an unexpected, awful situation. Especially right during the holidays. Any amount towards the final bill from the neurologist would be incredibly helpful and would mean so much to capo and I. Above I've attached screenshots of the itemized bill to show what the costs were.

I cannot thank you enough in advance for any help we receive. I know how difficult this year has been for so many people, so even the smallest thing is greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read all of this. Hoping to have Capo back to 100% soon.
