Capone, our sweet boy, is about 10-12 years old and has touched so many hearts over the years. He’s helped people see how misunderstood his breed can be, always greeting everyone with love and a gentle spirit. On Christmas Eve, Capone suddenly didn’t feel well. We kept a close eye on him, sleeping right next to him and checking his symptoms every hour. By Christmas morning, he seemed a bit more comfortable, but he was still quiet and not quite himself. We took him to the vet right away for a full workup, hoping for the best.
The news was heartbreaking: Capone has a mass about the size of an orange on his spleen and needs surgery to remove it. His prognosis is good if we can get the surgery done soon, but the cost is more than we can manage on our own at the moment. Surgery is tentatively scheduled for next Friday, and we’re hoping things don’t worsen before then. We’re doing everything we can to keep him comfortable and safe until his surgery date.
We would be so grateful for any help you can give to support Capone’s surgery. Your kindness will help us keep our sweet, pouty boy with us a little longer, and we’ll be forever thankful for your support. These funds will help cover his procedure scheduled for Friday January 9 along with other diagnostics needed prior to surgery.
