We are the Cap City Scrappers NXT 17U, a dedicated and high-performing travel basketball team made up of 8 standout student-athletes from across New York State. These young men have put in the work, battled through tough competition, and earned their way to something truly special: a shot at the PRO16 Finals, part of the prestigious Puma sneaker circuit.

With a 15-1 record, we are currently ranked #3 in the nation on our circuit—an incredible accomplishment that has earned us a spot in the PRO16 Playoffs this July. But to finish what we started, we need your help.

What We’re Raising Money For:

We’re looking to raise $7,000 (or more) to cover player travel expenses for two major playoff events:

Pool Play in Richmond, VA (July 9–13)

Finals in Bryan, TX (July 16–21)

Funds will go directly toward:

Flights

Hotels

Rental Cars

Why It Matters:

These trips are more than just basketball tournaments—they’re life-changing opportunities. Every event is packed with college coaches, offering a platform for these student-athletes to showcase their skills and pursue their dreams of playing at the next level. For many, this is the final summer before their senior year, and the exposure they gain could shape their futures.

Beyond the court, these experiences create bonds, memories, and moments that last a lifetime. Coach Kyle Milligan put it best:
