Help Cantor Mark and his family

Dear friends, colleagues, congregants and students (past & present) of Cantor Mark.

 

In late May, Cantor Mark went into the hospital for quadruple bypass surgery. Mark did not anticipate any problems, and told his family not to worry. Sadly and surprisingly Mark has experienced life threatening complications and has been in ICU at a hospital in the San Diego area ever since. His condition is critical, his daughters in California are visiting him as often as possible.

His family in Mexico is unable to travel

across the border to be with him.

 

The road ahead is challenging and uncertain; what we do know is that Mark has been the primary source of income for his family in Mexico and that has now stopped. Further we know that the hospital bills, rehabilitation arrangements and so many related expenses are piling up and will be a huge burden on Mark and his whole family.

 

So we are starting this campaign to raise money to help support Mark and his family during this time when he needs our help more than ever.

Please share this with anyone you know who knows Cantor Mark; who has experienced his love for his students, congregations, family, friends and community. And if they don’t know those things about him, please tell them and ask them to do this Mitzvah as well.

Over five decades of being a cantor, Bnai Mitzvah tutor and Jewish Educator Mark has touch thousands, tens of thousands of lives; amongst all of those people who have been blessed to know him and learn from him we have the collective power to ease this financial burden. Doing so will hopefully lift his spirits and that of his family; and that along with the care of his physicians and our love and prayers is what they all need most of all.
