Help us celebrate the 20th season of Music, Leadership and Community with the Cantiamo Choirs of Ottawa!
The founding vision for the Cantiamo Choirs of Ottawa is a lifelong passion for music. We understand the natural desire of human expression through singing, and especially the joy and benefits experienced through the simple act of singing together. We were able to keep singing through the pandemic because of the hard work and dedication of our strong Cantiamo community: our Board, our Choir Education Team, and of course, our choristers and choir families.
Your support will help us celebrate Cantiamo’s 20th year! What was meant to be a one-time event with a small group of girls brought together to sing If I Were the Moon for the Canadian Writer’s Festival, has grown and blossomed. Over the past twenty years we have added the Cantiamo Training Choir (from requests from parents to service younger sisters and brothers of the girls choir), the Cantiamo Girls Apprentice Choir (for a more pedagogically sound transition from the Training Choir to the Girls Choir), the Cantiamo Primary Choir (from requests from the community for a choir for very young boys and girls that love to sing) and last season, in spite of a pandemic, we added the Cantiamo Women’s Choir (from requests from alumni who had returned from their years away at school and were back in Ottawa wanting to sing!)
Money raised will help us…
- support our 20th anniversary concert on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 and
- reinvest in music literacy and leadership!
Cantiamo Choirs of Ottawa would not be what and where it is today without our generous and dedicated families, friends and volunteers. We are so fortunate to have a community that supports and embraces the vision of Cantiamo. To the choristers, the talented musicians and choral leaders, and friends of the choir- all those that bring Cantiamo together, thank you.
Yours in Song.
