My name is Norman Lawrence, a Jamaican who has lived in the United States for several decades. I am the founder and CEO of GanjaVacations, a travel services company offering a range of cannabis-forward vacation experiences in Jamaica. We facilitate these experiences by way of partnerships with small hotels, B&Bs, cannabis farmers, and tour operators across the island. With their properties, farms, and operations decimated by Hurricane Melissa, many of these owners are now homeless, destitute, and staring into the dark abyss of a very dismal future. Very, very few of them have any insurance coverage. It will be many months before these people are back on their feet and some will not recover. Also, the extensive and calamitous damage to the island's infrastructure means that it may be years before some of these regions are ready to again host visitors. The need is huge and the situation is dire! Aid has still not reached some regions of the island.

The funds raised will be used to make cash contributions to people in our network who have lost their properties, farms, and/or livelihoods in regions of Jamaica that have been most devastated by the hurricane. Our network consists of several hundred cannabis-friendly hotels and B&Bs, ganja farmers, as well as tour operators and others offering cannabis-forward vacation experiences.

Our donations, ranging from a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars, will be a timely lifeline to people desperate for help. We will be eternally grateful for whatever assistance you can provide. Thanks you!
