Hi, my name is Caniya and I have been accepted to Middle Tennessee State University. I am going to college for Film. I plan on being a director later in my life.

I am the oldest of my 5 siblings but in my household there are only 3. My mother is a single woman that is a teacher so our income is in short supply.

Thankfully I did earn state scholarship money but with that and my Pell grant and my freshman loans it did not cover the first year expenses.

I am hoping and praying that with this GoFundMe that I can decrease the stress from my mother to come up with the rest of the college bill and I can focus on becoming who I know I am.
