Help Cangemi-Tavano Family
Jill Cangemi - Tavano, a loving mother, dedicated wife, and dearest friend, passed away on August 12, 2021 after a long battle with Leiomyosarcoma cancer. She fought fiercely – and often privately – to overcome an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer. She passed away at home, surrounded by her most favorite people Paul, Olivia, Dominic, Sophia and her mom Patty.
For those lucky enough to know Jill personally, you likely knew that she was unfortunately battling cancer; however, few people knew the extent at which it was spreading or how often she was needing medical care. She was a brave and spirited woman who frequently fought her battles silently, so as not to worry those she cared for.
Jill's cancer was found after her Hysterectomy 5 years ago. There are different hysterectomy options for women that may not have spread Jill's cancer. Paul and Jill would like to encourage everyone to research all options if needing this procedure and to watch the documentary "Kicking the Hornet's Nest".
Donations made will go directly to Jill’s husband, Paul, to help cover medical expenses. Your generosity will help Paul and their three children with the financial burden that comes along with an expensive illness, like a rare cancer. Once medical expenses have been paid, Paul would like to honor his wife by using the remaining funds to further research efforts for Leiomysoarcoma cancer.
