***update. Canela is home. She spent 36 hours in the ER. She is on antibiotics and other meds to help with pain. Now we need to continue wound care which also comes with a cost. He wound did not allow stitches so we are on a wet dry bandage that needs constant care ever 48 hours. She has drains to help heal her wounds. One in the leg and another in her ear. She is going to recover. This is good news. I have seen improvement. Any help is appreciated!

My sweet girl Canela Chai was recently attacked by another dog, leaving her with a serious puncture wound on her left underside. The injury quickly became infected, and she is now at the vet fighting a bad infection. The team is working hard to treat her with intravenous antibiotics, but her liver levels are high and there’s a real concern about sepsis. She needs to stay at the vet for a few days so they can monitor her closely and give her the best chance to recover.

This has been an incredibly stressful and emotional time for both of us. I want nothing more than for Canela Chai to pull through and come home healthy. All funds raised will go directly to her vet bills, medication, and any follow-up care she needs to make a full recovery. Every little bit helps and will make a real difference in her fight to heal.
