A week ago, while my dogs were playing outside in the rain, my sweet Cane came back inside without making a sound. I was at my computer and didn’t notice anything was wrong until I turned around and saw blood everywhere—my entire house was covered. It was terrifying to realize how much Cane was bleeding, and I couldn’t figure out how he’d hurt himself so badly. It turned out he had split a vein in his leg. I did my best to wrap his leg and stop the bleeding, but it kept seeping through, and I started to panic as I rushed him to the ER Vet in Elk Grove.

This emergency was completely unexpected, especially right before the holidays. The vet team took great care of Cane, but the ER bill was more than I could have prepared for. I’m reaching out to ask for a little help to cover Cane’s ER bill so he can recover and get back to his happy, playful self. I know times are tough for many people, especially during the holidays, so please know that any support—big or small—means so much to us.
