Help Candy Padilla Heal and Support Her Family

Hi, my name is Melissa Gonzalez, and as many of you know, I’ve been working as a nanny throughout my college years. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of meeting many incredible families — and one very special woman I met at the park, Candy Padilla, truly stood out.

Candy is a kind, humble woman who has dedicated herself to her work as a nanny — not for the money, but because she genuinely loves caring for children. As many of us know, it’s incredibly rare to find someone who does this work with such heart.

Recently, Candy’s life took a heartbreaking turn. What began as a routine gallbladder removal surgery in February 2025 quickly turned into a series of serious medical complications. After her initial surgery, she suffered a missed colon injury that led to emergency surgery, followed by a second surgery just days later to repair a small bowel perforation. Despite everything, complications continued — including a painful intestinal leak and infections that have kept her in and out of the hospital for months.

She is unable to eat normally, is receiving nutrition through a feeding line, and is still battling infections and ongoing pain. Through it all, Candy has remained strong, but her situation is very serious — and she has a teenage daughter currently in high school who needs her.

I wish I could help her on my own, but I can’t. That’s why I’m reaching out for support. Candy has given so much to the families she's cared for, and now she needs our help.

Hola, mi nombre es Melissa Gonzalez, y como muchos saben, he trabajado como niñera durante mis años universitarios. A lo largo de este tiempo he conocido a muchas familias, pero una mujer en particular me tocó el corazón: Candy Padilla , a quien conocí en un parque.

Candy es una mujer humilde, cariñosa y dedicada a su trabajo como niñera. Lo hace por amor, no por dinero, y eso es algo muy difícil de encontrar hoy en día. Ella ha demostrado ser alguien que cuida con el corazón y con vocación.

Lamentablemente, la vida de Candy dio un giro muy doloroso. Todo comenzó con una cirugía de vesícula en febrero de 2025 que debía ser un procedimiento de rutina. Sin embargo, surgieron múltiples complicaciones graves: una lesión en el colon que requirió cirugía de emergencia, otra cirugía pocos días después por una perforación intestinal, y una serie de complicaciones adicionales, incluyendo una fuga intestinal e infecciones severas que la han mantenido entrando y saliendo del hospital por messes.

Candy no puede alimentarse por vía oral, está recibiendo nutrición por una línea central, y continúa luchando contra infecciones y dolor constante. A pesar de todo, ha demostrado una fuerza admirable. También es madre de una hija adolescente que está en la escuela secundaria y necesita de ella.

Yo quisiera poder ayudarla sola, pero no puedo. Por eso les pido su apoyo. Candy ha dado tanto a las familias que ha cuidado, y ahora necesita de nosotros.
