I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister in Christ, Candy Larry, and her two children. Candy is a devoted mother, a survivor, and a woman of faith who has fallen on incredibly hard times and needs our support to get back on her feet.

Here’s Candy’s story in her own words:

“I’m a domestic violence survivor and a single mom of two. One of my children is autistic, and several months ago, he began having seizures. While caring for him, I lost my job. I did my best to hold things together, living off my savings, but as those ran out, I started reaching out for help to keep our home. I sold my car and other belongings, but it still wasn’t enough. Since June, my children and I have been unhoused.

I’m working hard to change our situation. I’ve been applying for remote work, but due to my son’s needs, I must be home with him, and I require a hardwired internet connection to work—something hotels and shelters don’t provide. My goal is to secure an Airbnb so we can have a safe, stable space, and I can work to provide for my family and rebuild our lives.”*

Candy’s resilience is remarkable, but she cannot do this alone. Every donation—big or small—will help her secure safe housing, reliable internet access for work, and transportation so she can regain stability for her family.
