Update on Candy

Dear friends,

I want to share an honest update about Candy’s situation. Sadly, the caretaker we trusted to look after her has been keeping her chained 24/7, with no freedom, no walks, and no chance to enjoy life as a dog should. This breaks my heart, as Candy deserves so much better.

As many of you know, I first met Candy — a gentle stray Balinese dog — wandering around Nico Beach. Out of all the dogs there, she was the only one who trusted us enough to let us pat her. We spent three beautiful weeks with her, and just two days before I had to leave, she went into heat. Leaving her on the beach wasn’t an option, so I worked hard to find her a safe home. Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out as hoped.

✨ My plan now is clear:

Get Candy desexed and care for her during recovery.

Move her to a highly rated dog boarding hotel, where she can finally have the freedom to run, play with other dogs, and live the happy life she deserves.

The boarding hotel costs $280 AUD per month plus food. I simply cannot cover this on my own. After getting her desexed, I have to return home for work commitments and won’t be back in Bali for at least six months, so I want to guarantee a safe and happy home for Candy during that time.

That’s why I’m reaching out to you. It would be incredible if:

6 people could commit to $50 per week, or

1 person could sponsor a full month at $300.

100% of your donations will go toward Candy’s boarding, food, desexing, and any medications she may need.
