First and foremost, thank you for caring enough to read this :) I've gathered you all here today because I've recently realized a new dream for my life and I need your help to make it a reality!
I've been pondering it for a while now and this past year has only made it more clear how necessary this work is and will continue to be for quite some time. We are living in a state of economic, mental, and spiritual depression. We are living in a country that historically and violently targets black bodies. And most importantly, we are living in a time where community care and healing are radical acts of protest against a system that is heavily vested in our grief and oppression.
First and foremost, thank you for caring enough to read this :) I've gathered you all here today because I've recently realized a new dream for my life and I need your help to make it a reality!
I've been pondering it for a while now and this past year has only made it more clear how necessary this work is and will continue to be for quite some time. We are living in a state of economic, mental, and spiritual depression. We are living in a country that historically and violently targets black bodies. Investing in the health and wellness of our communities is more necessary than ever before.
And because of this, I would like to start a mind/body/soul wellness & healing practice. Through this practice, I plan to create a holistic healing method that would include elements of yoga, massage therapy, art, cuddle therapy, and life coaching.
Active emotional support has always been something I was able to give boundlessly and without pause, so it only makes sense to make it an integral part of my professional path!
This practice would allow me to hold space for people in a whole new way and on a much larger scale.
I will finish up my yoga certification by the end of 2020 and plan to begin attending the Atlanta School of Massage in January 2021. That's where you can help :)

Unfortunately, even with financial aid, there is a large financial barrier here for me. And with everything going on this year, safe employment has been very hard to come by. Going to school would put me on the road to secure, safe employment and a stable income I can depend on while I build the business of my dreams.
So if I've ever made you feel safe or comfortable or warm or welcomed or supported, I would really, really appreciate if you would contribute to my being able to make others feel that way too :)
