Candis was diagnosed with Malignant Spindle Cell Neoplasm Metaplastic Carcinoma, a rare cancer. The cancer has defied straightforward diagnosis and standard procedures for care. To fight it, doctors are recommending a very aggressive series of chemotherapy and radiation over the next 4-6 months. Extreme fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, and hair loss are absolutes and Candis will have to be isolated on this journey to prevent secondary infection. As a result, Candis’s ability to work will be greatly limited.
