Hi everyone, some of y’all may know me, and some may not! If you don’t, I’ll introduce myself! My name is Candice, and I have been an LPN for four years. I have had quite the time with nursing school, but maybe that is a story for another time LOL.

For a while, I thought I would not go back to finish school for my RN, because I kind of was just over it. Towards the end of last year, I decided that I should go back, because I would really regret not going back when I only have six months left before I can graduate as an RN. It would have been silly for me not to try.

In January, I began a new role as a maternity nurse, where I really began to really love my career for the first time. I knew for sure that I wanted to go ahead and finish school, and Lord willing, earn my Registered Nursing degree. But finances have been kind of a struggle for me, if I’m being honest. I am unable to qualify for Pell Grants and certain loans because I “make too much”... yet I am struggling to pay my tuition and my everyday bills.

My family and boyfriend do all they can to help me, but most of the time they are helping me with my regular bills due to me being unable to work much at all, due to my nursing class being in the summer. Our class this summer consists of a ton of clinical hours, class two days a week, and then time for studying as well. I have posted on Facebook asking for resources to help with my tuition, but some friends recommended I make this as well.

I hate to ask anyone for money, or for anyone to know I’m struggling. But right now I could use some help so that I can finish nursing school, and have the career I’ve always dreamed of.
