Help Candice Fight Breast Cancer and Support Her Kids After Domestic Violence
I am raising funds to support my daughter, Candice — a devoted single mom of two beautiful children — who is courageously battling an aggressive form of breast cancer, and has been battling her health for a few years now.
Candice has always been one of the hardest-working, kindest, and most honest people I know. She’s an incredibly talented and determined woman who has built her life through creativity, grit, and perseverance. She’s worked since she was 14 years old, put herself through college, and built a successful career. For over ten years, she ran a thriving handbag design company, traveling the world and sharing her talents. However, the global economic landscape forced her to close her business, sadly. Her work was nationally featured, and she even designed for top U.S. fashion brands. Later, she turned her efforts toward real estate, always striving to create a better future for her family and become self-sufficient again.
But the last few years have been unimaginably hard. As a single mother battling autoimmune and other chronic health issues that have severely limited her energy and strength, she’s continued to push forward no matter how difficult things became. Just as she was finally getting back on her feet and thriving in her new web and AI design business, her world came crashing down this spring with her cancer diagnosis.
On top of that, Candice was recently the victim of domestic violence and had to relocate to protect herself and her children, leaving her displaced from her home. With the loss of financial support and the heavy toll of chemotherapy, she has been unable to work since her diagnosis. She’s facing upcoming surgeries — including a mastectomy — and struggling to cover basic living expenses, medical costs, and care for her two children.
In addition to her medical and financial struggles, Candice is also in the midst of an intense legal battle related to her situation. She is currently self-represented, which has been overwhelming to manage while undergoing treatment and bing the full time caregiver of the children. Navigating the legal system on her own has added tremendous stress and difficulty to an already exhausting fight.
Despite everything, Candice faces each day with courage, love, and grace. She is doing everything she can to stay strong for her kids, but right now, she truly needs help to keep everything going until she can recover and recreate a home for her and her children.
She has an amazing group of friends who are there for her in so many ways, but very limited resources otherwise — and as her mother, I live far away, and am disabled myself, which limits how much I can help financially or physically.
Every donation — no matter the size — will go directly toward essential housing and daily expenses, medical treatments and therapies, moving expenses, vehicle repairs, legal fees and care for her children while she undergoes treatment and recovery.
Candice has spent her life working hard for others, building businesses, and loving her friends and family fiercely. I believe with all my heart that with a little help now, she’ll make it through this and get back to doing what she does best — growing and caring for others. She loves her kids more than anything, and I believe in her ability to bounce back completely.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for supporting Candice and her children during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness truly means the world to us.
