Help Cancer Patient Care for Her Rescue Horses

Deb Toher is one of the most courageous, kind and generous people you'll ever meet. Along with her husband Dave they have been rescuing horses and animals for over 30 years at their small family farm in Carlisle, MA.

Anyone who knows Deb knows she has devoted her whole life to taking care of animals. Not only has she rescued and adopted countless cats and dogs, but she also never misses an opportunity to help shelters with donations and fundraisers. She is always there for animals just as she is for her friends.

But her true passion is horses. Deb has rescued many horses, some from horrible conditions, others she saved from being euthanized just because they were a little old, and provided them with medical care, love and a new life. Without Deb these horses would not have survived. Deb regularly sacrifices her own needs for the needs of her horses. She loves them deeply and they are her whole life.

But now she needs our help. Deb has breast cancer yet again. She has beaten it bravely 3 times before, but this time is different. This time requires invasive surgical intervention, a full mastectomy, in order for her to survive. Recovery from this surgery will be hard, physically and psychologically, and will take months. She will not be able to work and earn money that is so needed for the care of her rescue horses.

Deb has done so much in her life to help others, now she needs help herself so that her loving rescue horses will have enough hay and grain to eat while Deb recovers. She needs help to also cover any medical expenses for the horses that may come up during this time.
