For the past year I have been working on an event to take place in Paris at the summer olympics for all the OG Breakers worldwide. It became apparent that even though Breaking was going to be a part of the Olympics, there was a real sense that the amazing histories of the pioneers that built our culture in Hiphop was being over looked. So I decided to build something based on the old school philosophy of "If we build it they will come".

I founded our crew the Canadian Floor Masters with Kid Quick in 1983 and have continually been involved in supporting breaking culture in Canada for over 40 years. Running events, practice spaces and our mental health outreach programing. I'm very proud of the work we do and many think our work in maximum security youth prisons is the largest group therapy in the history of Canada's corrections. In short I have an entire life history giving back to our culture.

For creating an event at the Olympics I reached out to partner with one of France's oldest Crews (Aktuel Force ) and things finally started to come together. (Thx Pascal)

We have built an event where the OG's of our breaking culture can come together and celebrate and share our histories at a location right in the Olympic Village.

But the tricky thing is now to find our own funding so that we can individually attend. This also applies to myself as I don't really have extra funds for travel and accommodation in Paris.

I have built something exciting for others in Hiphop but now I need to focus on getting there myself and having a safe place to stay while I help run our events.

So I'm reaching out to friends, Hiphop Heads, and anyone else who can help support me in being part of this international gathering for the pioneers of Breaking. As you can understand accommodation will be very expensive during the Olympics in Paris so I really appreciate any support you can offer to help get me there. This event is going to take place because its the right thing to do and the Olympics themselves have overlooked being involved in supporting our incredible history.
