Help Camryn with her medical and daily expenses

Hi! I am reaching out to help my friend and coworker Camryn Ballestrazze with medical costs and expenses related to her story below. Any amount would help ❤️‍

Dear family and friends,

Over the past 3 months, my and my family’s life has changed dramatically. I have been debilitated by neurological and immune symptoms causing 13 ER visits, 4 hospitalizations and 6 911 calls. I have been unable to work, unable to live my “normal” life and have been bed bound, and walking with a walker/wheelchair and in extreme pain. At the moment I am receiving OT and PT at home. When I am medicated I am able to ambulate better.

I completed my prerequisites for nursing school and was looking forward to becoming a RN. I have been very hesitant to share my complex medical case but after months of agonizing pain, feeling like my body was attacking itself, eating away at my brain, massive fatigue and unable to stand for a couple of minutes at a time, my legs completely giving out on me, major back, hip, groin, knee, muscle weakness in calves and feelings of neuropathy in my feet, head tremors/feeling like I am banging my head against a wall, weak arms and legs, hyperreflexia, clonus, unable to walk unassisted, hypersensitivity to sound and light, change in vision, hearing, temperature and body dysregulation, fear and hearing multiple scary diagnosis’ including (possible rare form of cancer, POTS syndrome, Stiff Person Syndrome, and Brain Diseases.)

Getting the vaccine was required and since receiving a total of three Covid shots, a flu shot, and having Covid twice I have come across these issues. I was hesitant to get the flu shot due to my egg allergy, and truly believe that my after receiving the flu shot my immune system could
could not take another shot, and has been on overload.

Most recently, I have been made aware that I have a rare copper deficiency. I am starting Cooper IV infusions because taking oral supplements are not working fast enough. I still don’t have a formal and final diagnosis, but if the Copper IV doesn’t work, I will be starting IVIG treatments as a second option. I have had over 300 blood draws/tests/retests to check my levels, MRI’s, CT scans, PET scans, Pulmonary Embolism tests, tests to ensure I don’t have blood clots, etc.

Being on this side of the medical field has completely changed my perspective on how precious life is. As of right now I am focusing on filling my mind with positivity and all of your prayers are appreciated. To my precious mother and father who have been bending over backwards taking me to back to back appointments, blood draws, and educating themselves, and communicating to my Doctors everyday while caring for me completely, I don’t know what I would do without you. As of right now I am trying to remain optimistic and visualize myself being healthy mentally and physically in a couple months and getting back to my normal life. I can’t wait to get back to work and continue working on my goal of getting into the Nursing program. I am studying and re-taking my TEA’s test from home for the Nursing Program very soon. This has really pushed the fighter in me, and it would be a dream come true to finally get my health back and become a Nurse and help patients and doctors with difficult cases like mine.

The names of Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, EMT’s, and Hospitals where I have been admitted to or who have taken care of me during this time will not be named for privacy reasons. From the bottom of my heart I appreciate every single person that has dug into my case including family and friends. I appreciate your comfort, love, and appreciate you more than you know, I will never forget you. There will never be the right words to thank you enough. From holding my hand during testing, administering drugs, and comforting me. If it weren’t for some of you, I truly believe that I wouldn't be here right now.

I am praying for answers. My mom, family and I will do our best to update this page as much as we can with videos and pictures.

My funds will be used towards fuel for transportation, my medical treatments, and not being able to work.
