Help Camp Elasticity Stretch!
Management:
This is a progress report and bald-faced request for support from the like-minded. If you haven't got a thing to spare, please enjoy the announcements! I've already got a lot of great things going on benefiting Denver-based creatives and lovers of creative expression to tell you about, and with your help, future productions will be bigger, better, and more widely received. In 2015, I wrote an informal history of this city's connections to the Beat Generation through Neal Cassady, Ed White, and Jack Kerouac, and am interested in turning this into a film at the soonest opportunity. When they locked us down in March of 2020, I started a production company called Camp Elasticity. Using free publishing software and an upgraded blog as a site, Camp Elasticity has published 7 books so far, including an anthology called The Cool Zone full of big and small reputations in poetry, prose, photography, and art locally and otherwise, a novel by me about the last election called Problem Contest , and another book of mine, RADIOS ,: Intuition, Inspiration, Chaos and the Rachel Archelaus case, is in post-production. We have also produced a couple of podcasts featuring some local talents (Ellen K. Graham, Jonny Barber, Susan Coates, others) and nationally-known authors (Nersesian, SaFranko, Archelaus, others) . The idea is establishment of a creative meritocracy through persistence and interdependence., contributing to Denver's status as a creative point of light and heat. I will never stop manifesting creative productions of various types, but money is always tight and often non-existent, and I'm interested in securing financial support to make things easier. UPDATE 8/1: 2 short films for online distribution are in production, and that can't be bad. The point of Camp Elasticity Productions is to see how far D.I.Y. creativity can stretch, in terms of possibility, and we're not finished stretching.
With your donations, large and small, Camp Elasticity can better sustain itself, expand its range of effect, increase the power of its advertising, begin offering better promotion and services, like distribution, to its authors and actors and clients, and commit to further productions, like a magazine (a revival of The Gut zine is in pre-production), more frequent podcasts with paid guests, and production of video submissions and musical performances, including, more than likely, a film version of The Denver Beat Scene, or approximately. In addition to the above, founder Zack Kopp has recently engaged with the practices of Allowance and Alignment, and publications and two productions along those lines specifically (not without a little Intuition, Inspiration and Chaos) are in the offing. Camp Elasticity's most recent podcast, on August 20th, on Contacting Outer and Inner Intelligences was inspired by the Pentagon’s recent verification of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, featured guests Luke Schmaltz, Tony Vilano, Nick Plumber, Charlie Dunlap, and Steven A. Ross. and was distributed to multiple sites via Anchor.fn. (and we're always looking for more guests!) Bottom line, You Are The Show. Camp Elasticity is open to your suggestions. Contributors will be lauded on the site, given a chance to promote whatever they've got going on, and at least one free book.
Thanks for everything you do!
