Help Camp Createability Recover from Flood Damage
Camp Createability, a nonprofit organization empowering individuals with autism and other disabilities through training in film, animation, and the creative arts, experienced severe flooding at our Madison offices due to last night’s storms.
This unexpected disaster has damaged vital equipment and disrupted our ability to run programs and services — the very resources that help our participants gain skills, confidence, and community connection. We’re asking for your help to recover, rebuild, and continue serving our amazing community.
What Happened:
Late last night, intense storms caused significant flooding in our Madison office and studio space. Computers, creative equipment, walls, technology, and furnishings used daily by our staff and participants were damaged or destroyed. As a result, we’ve had to temporarily close operations, cancel camps, and begin assessing the full extent of the damage.
What We Need:
- We are raising funds to cover:
- Replacement of damaged equipment (computers, cameras, art supplies)
- Restoration and cleanup of our office/studio space
- Temporary relocation costs to continue offering programs
- Support for staff and lost program revenue during closure
Every dollar makes a difference. Your support helps ensure that our participants — youth and adults with disabilities — don’t lose access to the programs they rely on to express themselves, learn job skills, and thrive creatively.
How You Can Help:
- Donate what you can
- Share this campaign with friends, family, and on social media
- If you have item donation please contact us directly
Camp Createability is more than a place — it’s a home for creativity, inclusion, and possibility. This is the clients safe space and the disruption causes dis-regulation for them. With your help, we’ll come back stronger than ever. Thank you for standing with us during this difficult time and for supporting the recovery of a space that means so much to so many.
