My name is Samirah, and I am the only child of Camillia Williams. I am creating this fundraiser to help my mother pay for legal representation after she was brutally attacked and severely injured at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. My mother is a strong, loving, and courageous woman who has always carried herself with dignity. Watching her be treated in such an inhumane way has completely broken my heart.
During this incident, multiple men forcefully restrained my mother, pulling her body in different directions and placing their weight on her neck and body while she cried out for help and medical attention. She was dragged through the hotel while injured and humiliated. As a result, she is now suffering physically and emotionally. She is bruised across her body and currently unable to walk normally because of the injuries she sustained. No one deserves to be treated this way.
We are seeking justice and accountability for what happened to my mother. The funds raised will go directly toward attorney fees, legal expenses, medical-related costs, and helping my mother fight for her rights. We believe every person deserves dignity, compassion, and protection — especially Black women, whose pain and voices are too often ignored. My mother deserves to be heard. She deserves justice. And she deserves the opportunity to heal without carrying this burden alone.
