Hi everyone,

My name is Maria Elena Gonzalez, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my daughter, Camila, who has been going through an incredibly difficult past few months.

It all began after she was involved in a terrible car accident that completely totaled her car. At first, she was diagnosed with a concussion and was told that her headaches would go away. After weeks of pain and what doctors initially believed was a concussion, she finally went to the emergency room for further testing.

That’s when we received the shocking and devastating news: Camila has a rare tumor located in the midline of her brain.

Because of its dangerous and delicate location, specialists are proceeding with extreme caution. Just yesterday, her case was reviewed by the Tumor Board at St. Jude and St. Joseph Hospitals, and she is now expecting six weeks of radiation and chemotherapy.

This condition has begun to limit her ability to manage daily life. Camila has had to stop driving, complete her career and work hours, making it very difficult to cover her living expenses and medical bills.
