Hi everyone, my name is Sasha and I’m raising funds for my friend Camila, who was recently detained by ICE during a workplace raid in Newark, NJ.
Camila has lived in the U.S. for 8 years. She came legally with a visa, she has no criminal record, and she has always worked hard to support her family. She is also the mother of a beautiful 1-year-old baby, who is now without his mom and depending on us to keep things stable for him.
Right now, her case is bond-eligible, which means she has a real chance of being released — but only if we can move quickly with legal help. Immigration lawyers and bonds are extremely expensive, and her family simply does not have the resources to cover these urgent costs.
I’m asking for help to raise $5,000 to pay for:
• A legal consultation and representation
• A possible immigration bond
• Basic support for her 1-year-old son (diapers, food, essentials)
Camila is not a danger, not a criminal — she’s a loving mother and a good person who was just trying to work and provide for her child. She deserves the chance to fight her case and go home to her baby.
Any amount helps. And if you can’t donate, please share — every share makes a huge difference.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Let’s help bring Camila home.
