Hello family and friends,
As some of you know, Cami started having pain and bruising on her right leg on Christmas Eve. In the weeks since, the bruising has covered her lower right leg and foot and started appearing on the left. She is in a lot of pain, very weak and feels faint whenever she is up. Cami has been essentially bedridden for three weeks.
Her dad has taken her to at least three local healthcare providers and to the ER in Plattsburgh. Multiple blood and imaging tests have been done, but so far there is no diagnosis or treatment.
On Tuesday, Jan 19 we are taking Cam to University of Vermont Medical Center Children's Hospital where she will have a full workup by a team of specialists. I'm traveling to Burlington to be there with her as long as I can. Over the last several months Cami has been seen at UVM for other health problems. The doctors there are outstanding and we trust they will be able to diagnose and treat whatever this is.
Thankfully, Scott has good health insurance that will cover the majority of Cami's medical bills. Still, the out-of-pocket is becoming burdensome and we've only just begun. We are asking for help with co-pays, medications and travel expenses.
We are grateful for the love you all send in the form of kind words, prayers and healing vibes. We will update this page as we learn more. Thanks for giving us strength.
