Hi, My name is Cameron and I am currently enrolled in the undergraduate BFA Acting program at SUNY Purchase college. I’ve been acting since the age of 5 and have been in multiple projects such as Showtimes “The Chi” and a production of Tarell Alvin McCraney’s “In the Red and Brown Water. With me being from Chicago, it has been hard to afford the out of state tuition that my school has. Purchase and its prestigious Acting program has offered me a space to work, play, and collaborate with others with no bounds to my artistry. It’s not very easy to get accepted into the program so I was very blessed to have gotten the opportunity to attend and meet so many people who I can call family now. Just in my two years, I was able to help curate a Theater festival that centered around Black stories and voices, help create a fashion club and two fashion shows in the spring semester’s, and participate in many other events that my school has to offer! This school has not only taught me to think wide open, but to also persevere in the face of adversity. I love attending there and honestly couldn’t see myself anywhere else!
