I’m Cameron, and I’m fundraising for myself so I can finally have the chance to play roller hockey as a goalie. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, but I’ve been held back by one big obstacle: the cost of the equipment. Goalie gear is expensive, and even though the desire to play has always been there, I haven’t been able to afford the pads and other equipment required to get started. Between sibling costs, an impending car purchase, school, and not having enough time to work every day, I cannot find enough money to afford this by myself.

The support from this fundraiser will go toward buying the goalie pads and equipment I need to safely play roller hockey. For me, this is more than just gear. It’s the opportunity to do something I’ve truly wanted for a long time and to stop feeling like cost is the reason I have to sit on the sidelines.
