Hi!
My name is Cameron Carroll, and I have been accepted for my first year of marching with the Bluecoats Color Guard! I will be spending the summer of 2017 with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps based out of Canton, Ohio.
Drum Corps has been a huge dream of mine for many years and I'm so excited for what my first season will bring!! Drum corps does cost a bit of money though, and although I plan to be saving on my own as well, it would be so helpful if you could donate even the smallest amount to help me out!
The Bluecoats Mission: The Bluecoats provide programs for youth in music and performance training. Leadership, personal, character and social development skills are emphasized through the challenge, excitement, and self-discipline presented by the corps through travel, competition, and pursuit of excellence.
Drum Corps is marching music at its finest. Four sections (Brass, The Bangerz (Drum Line), Bloo Pit (Front Ensemble), and Color Guard) bring an elaborate 12 minute field show to life. We have Spring Training which is approximately Five weeks (beginning in May and ending halfway through June) of reherseal from 9 in the morning to 10 at night. Then, for the rest of the summer (ending in early August) we tour and perform around the United States.
