Help Cameron Heal After Devastating Accident
Donation protected
My name is Jasmine Sherrill, and I’m reaching out for help for my brother Cameron and our family during this incredibly difficult time. On the evening of August 20, 2024, Cameron was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident in Novato, CA, just minutes from home. He was T-boned by a young driver pulling out of an apartment complex.
Though he was initially conscious and responsive, he suffered severe injuries, including multiple open fractures, internal bleeding, and a stroke caused by stretched arteries in his neck. The night after the accident, hospital staff had to wake him every hour to monitor his condition. Tragically, about 30 hours later, his brain swelling worsened, requiring emergency surgery to remove a portion of his skull to allow for safe swelling. For weeks, Cameron remained unresponsive, and he has since been moved through several hospitals, currently receiving care in a rehabilitation facility.
Every day, he shows signs of improvement, but the road to recovery will be long and challenging—estimated at least a year. Cameron can move his right arm and leg, and is starting to hold his head up, but he currently lacks control over his left side. Despite these challenges, he is eager to regain his strength.
Cameron has always been an incredible support to me and my children, and it breaks my heart to see him in this situation. The financial burden of his medical care, along with the expenses of everyday life that my parents are currently managing, is overwhelming. We don’t expect to reach our fundraising goal, but any support would mean the world to us. Every contribution will help ease the financial strain of hospital bills and travel costs as we strive to be with him during his recovery.
Thank you for considering supporting Cameron in this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated.
