My name is Cameron, and I’m a 25-year-old trans woman working hard to build a better future. Right now, I’m facing a housing crisis after my roommates asked me to leave, and I’ve been struggling to find a safe place to stay. Last year, I lost my home with my grandparents when they moved to Texas, and since then, I’ve been doing my best to stay afloat. On top of this, I’m supporting my father, who is battling addiction and living on the streets, which adds to the stress and trauma I’m experiencing.
I also struggle with mental illness and addiction myself, and these challenges have made it difficult to find stability. Recently, I lost my job at Subway after a traumatic incident, and I’m about to lose my health insurance on my birthday at the end of this month. Throughout my past jobs, I’ve faced transphobic discrimination, which has been deeply traumatic and made it even harder to find safe and supportive work environments. Despite everything, I’m enrolled at Community College of Aurora and planning to become a CNA and pursue nursing. I’m determined to keep moving forward, but I need help to cover rent, secure housing, access recovery resources, and manage health costs as I transition off insurance.
I’m also passionate about content creation on TikTok, and would love more support to continue sharing my story and connecting with others. I’m asking for support from my community to help me get back on my feet and continue my journey toward a brighter future. Any help—whether through donations, opportunities, or sharing my story—is deeply appreciated. Your support will make a real difference in my life, helping me find stability and hope during this difficult time.
