Help during Hospice care for the Borden family
Donation protected
Cameron Borden had surgery to remove infected bones in his foot on January 10 of this year, and due to multiple complications, he did not get home until early this summer. Since then he’s been in and out of the nursing facility. His wife, Teresa, used part of her retirement to pay for the over $6000 chair lift that made it possible for him to come home.
They have made the difficult decision for Hospice care, as Cameron’s heart condition is inoperable.
I have arranged for a walk in shower to replace the tub, in order for Cameron to be able to access the bathroom for his personal needs, and to bring dignity and comfort to him for the remainder of his life, however long that is. We pray that he will have many months left with us.
The amount raised so far has paid for only the deposit for the shower, so anything above that will go toward the rest of the cost, which will be paid by me, Teresa, and any GoFundMe money over the course of the next year. Bath Experts have worked with us to make this possible. Thank you to all who have given, and thank you in advance for sharing this even if you can’t donate.
