Hello everyone, my name is Lisa Lawson. My 21-year-old son, Cameron Bianco, was just diagnosed with metastatic testicular cancer on October 7, 2025. The cancer is in his abdomen, and he may require surgery in Indianapolis to remove the large mass if it doesn’t respond to the chemo. Cameron will turn 22 on October 29, 2025. He works part-time at UPS in Mattoon, but now he will not be able to work for 3-6 months or longer. He has had to give up his apartment and move back in with me and his step-dad. He starts chemo on Monday. While he has very good insurance, he will have deductibles that he can’t pay due to loss of work. He needs gas to drive every day to chemo for a minimum of 3 months. We don’t know how long this fight will be, but what we do know is that it is 90% curable. In order to preserve having children in the future, they have suggested sperm banking, and that is $1000 plus $300 each year for continued storage. Cam has stated he definitely wants children in the future. His step-dad and I are providing his food, shelter, and paying for his insurance and phone, etc. I will be losing work as I will have to be off for appointments and other things. We can’t help with the astronomical medical bills that he will have after insurance is maxed out. Any amount is helpful to relieve his stress so he can focus on kicking cancer's butt. Thanks for considering helping my son.
