My name is Meredith Oakley and I am the proud mother of Camden Joel Crocker, Senior Vice President of Neuse Charter High, in Smithfield, NC. Camden is set to graduate high school on May 20th of this year. To get ahead of his studies, Camden has voluntarily taken summer school classes since the 8th grade. As a result of his hard work, Camden will not only graduate with his diploma but will also graduate with an Associate in Science from Johnston Community College on May 18th, 2022. Camden will be the first student of Neuse Charter High to graduate with an associate's degree. After much deliberation, Camden has decided to attend the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Due to Cam's diligence, and the combination of federal grants and scholarships, he has nearly gained a free ride. If Camden obtains his 4-year degree in the next projected 2 years, he will only need approximately $4306 based on UNCW's projected cost sheet! This amount of course does not include unforeseen expenses such as parking passes, all meals, gas, school supplies, and life's impending curveballs (This amount has been blown out of the water as of 12/19/2023). Additionally, the needed amount is subject to change based on federal and state tuition costs, grant approvals, and scholarships year to year. The educational journey that lies ahead of Camden was made possible by the opportunity provided to him via the Career College Promise (CCP) program. We strongly encourage all high schoolers to take advantage of the CCP educational avenue. Camden is living proof that the CCP program works and we are abundantly grateful for it. Join me in congratulating Camden on all his hard work by financially donating to his educational journey. ANYTHING will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
