URGENT APPEAL FOR HELP
My name is Meily Oeng, a Czech Government Scholarship student, and together with fellow scholars studying across Europe, and we are starting this fundraising campaign on behalf of innocent Cambodian families who have been forced to flee their homes due to a sudden border conflict with Thailand.
Early in the morning, without warning, the Thai military launched attacks near the Cambodian border, targeting areas where peaceful farming families have lived for generations. Many homes were destroyed or abandoned in panic. Entire families — including children, the elderly, and the disabled — had to flee with nothing but the clothes on their backs
Who Needs Help
Most of the affected are farmers, children, elderly people, and pregnant women who lived peacefully along the border. With no time to pack or prepare, they have lost:
- Their homes
- Farming tools and equipment
- Clothing and personal items
- Access to food, water, and medical care
- Some families are currently sheltering in temporary camps or open fields with no supplies, no food, and no way to keep warm or safe.
