Help Caly Conquer Bone Cancer
Donation protected
Meet Caly, our sweet 7 and a half year-old German Shepherd-Rottweiler mix who has been the heart of our family since we adopted her as a puppy. Rescued from an abandoned cattle ranch at just 4 months old, she has grown into an adventurous spirit, always curious, and full of life. She explores every trail and park with boundless curiosity and joy. Her days are filled with walks, hikes, playful antics, and gentle snuggles. Whether she's out chasing squirrels in the backyard or cuddling up for a quiet evening at home, Caly has a zest for life that is truly inspiring.

Tragically, on June 18th, 2024, Caly was diagnosed with osteosarcoma – an aggressive bone cancer – in the upper hip area of her right hind leg. This came as a total shock to us, since Caly has been an active, vibrant, energetic girl without many health issues throughout her life. It had only been recently that she began showing signs of intermittent lameness.
Our world was turned upside-down when we learned from our veterinarian that Caly’s best chance for survival from osteosarcoma is to have her entire right hind leg amputated as well as a small portion of the right side of her pelvis shaved down. Even after she receives the amputation to remove the primary tumor, she will need to undergo multiple rounds of chemotherapy to halt the progression of cancer and improve both the quality and quantity of her life.

We are heartbroken, but we are not giving up. We are committed to doing everything we can to give Caly the best chance at recovery. We are asking for $10,000 to cover the extensive costs of her treatment, including her surgical amputation, chemotherapy, oncologist exams, imaging tests, blood tests, and medication she will need to fight this cancer.
Please consider donating to our campaign. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to ensuring that Caly can continue to live a life full of adventure, joy, and love.
Breakdown of Medical Expenses:
- $5,000 for amputation of the entire right hind leg
- $2,100 for chemotherapy ($350 per treatment session - 6 treatments total)
- $1,100 for oncologist visits ($220 per visit - 5 visits total)
- $1,800 for imaging tests, blood tests, and medication for pain management
