Howdy folks,

On Thursday morning (august 28th) I took my baby boy Calvin to the ER after being advised by my vet over the phone to take him immediately there. The night prior he had been hovering over the litter box (a LOT) without much happening.

They took him immediately and let me know that he in fact had: A Urethral Obstruction; Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD); Feline Idiopathic Cystis (FIC), Crystaluria. He had essentially backed up pee into his bladder which had bloated to the size of a large grapefruit. Calvin had to have a catheter inserted for 48 hours, and was an overnight patient for 2 nights.

He is back home and recovering on drugs but we did not have pet insurance (which is definitely changing after this) so the bill has come back at a hefty ~$4,000 (attaching pics for transparency, first two pics was the estimate, payment pages of end cost was ($3965.73)

I'm hoping that our community can help us out and pay for his time at the ER, his, medications, etc. I make enough money for myself but have no savings to my name and not much left in my paycheck past my biweekly needs. I've been feeling a little guilty that I could have prevented this and saved my sweet bean from having to be in pain/discomfort for so long but my peers have reassured me I'm doing the best I can but you know...being a pet parent.
