The home where Calvin lived with his girlfriend Kasia has burned to the ground in the recent California Woolsey fires of Nov. 2018.   

About the fire 

Now Calvin and Kasia are literally starting from scratch and need to get on their feet.


UPDATE:  Calvin learned that we had started a fund for him and here is what he wrote:

Hey Everyone. So our home just burned down in Malibu. I am fine, and very optimistic about the new path that life is delivering to me, and choosing to focus on this as an opportunity for growth. We had insurance, but our material losses far exceed the coverage.

I was able to save important documents, some clothes, and some other essentials, but did lose quite a bit of stuff including music equipment, clothes, and my favorite stuffed animal.

My dad and stepmom created a gofundme page to help out my partner Kasia, and I in getting things rolling again. As it seems I will be on the move for a bit, I’m not trying to replace all the lost stuff right now. However, any donations to the fund will drastically help improve our quality of life over the next few months.

Money will go towards costs such as food, gas, making my car a better place to sleep if needed, certain essential clothes, and the general effort to make life a bit more normal as soon as possible. Thank you all so much for your help! It is really amazing to see the outpouring of support and care given to us. We are so thankful for your kindness!!!

ALSO, this coincides with my employment running dry, so if anyone has any leads on a film/tv/commercial Production Assistant job for me , or some sort of Nanny/Au Pair type thing for my partner, it would be super appreciated. We are very able bodied and want to create a better life. I feel very thankful to be healthy, in love, and to be mentally sound in seeing this situation as a blessing rather than a curse.
