For the past 10 years, Calvary Chapel Ferrara has called Via Dei Baluardi home. It has been a place of growth and community—until the last two years. Unexpected challenges have arisen that have made it increasingly difficult for us to remain.
What began as complaints during worship has escalated into repeated disruptions, false accusations, inspections, and requirements that have made it difficult and unrealistic for us to continue meeting in this space.
In just the past few days, the situation has quickly and unexpectedly intensified. We have now been given 15-20 days before further action may be taken and, although we have a meeting next week to hopefully discuss options, we are facing the very real possibility of being without a physical church home in the coming weeks.
At the same time, our church has already been outgrowing this space. We believe that God has been guiding us toward a new place, but what we thought would be a gradual transition has now taken on an unexpected urgency.
By God’s grace, we have secured a 1,000 sq mt building at a reduced price of (already lowered by €70,000). We had prayerfully committed and prepared to take this step on our own, trusting God to provide over time as a small but faithful church, with a plan to pay off the new building in payments. However, due to a change in timing, we are now working within a much shorter one-year timeframe, which has added to the urgency of our complicated situation. The sooner we can raise the funds, the sooner we can move in.
With everything happening at once, we find ourselves in need of help.
We are sharing this need in faith and inviting anyone who feels led to partner with us - through prayer or financial support.
Thank you for standing with us.
Make sure to pay attention to the request of the extra 10% from the GoFundMe platform. You can manually modify to 0% instead of 10% for every donation. This will help us reach our goal even quicker. Thank you.
