Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read Callum’s story.
We are raising funds to support my little brother, Callum, who has faced more health challenges than most people could imagine — yet continues to show incredible strength and determination every single day.
Callum first became unwell in 2012, leading to multiple hospital visits and a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. He now relies on an insulin pump to manage his condition. Alongside this, Callum developed type 3 bile malabsorption and gastroparesis, which has resulted in a paralysed stomach, meaning he is tube-fed. These conditions alone have had a huge impact on his daily life.
In November 2024, Callum was diagnosed with epilepsy. Since then, he has experienced over 100 seizures. This diagnosis has been extremely distressing and life-altering for Callum and our family. Despite this, Callum remains determined to live his life as fully and independently as possible.
Through his own research, Callum discovered a medical smartwatch known as an EPI Watch. This device detects tonic and clonic seizures and immediately alerts family members, allowing us to get him urgent medical help — often an ambulance is required. This watch would give Callum greater freedom, confidence, and independence, while also giving our family reassurance that help can reach him quickly when he needs it most.
Unfortunately, this potentially life-changing device is not funded by the NHS, which is why we are reaching out for support.
Every donation, no matter how small — even £1 — will help us get Callum the safety, reassurance, and quality of life he truly deserves. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and compassion.
