My name is Callie, and I am a mother to 4 and am also expecting a baby boy within the next month. We found out in January that our baby had a congenital heart defect that would require him to undergo multiple surgeries if he survived the pregnancy. We were referred to a specialist and found out that he has Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome (pulmonary atresia), a brain abnormality, and spinal dysplasia. We have been going to weekly scans, echocardiograms, and other tests the past couple of months, traveling 10+ hours, which has resulted in my husband having to quit his job to care for our other children and myself since I am on bed rest.

We will be relocating closer to the hospital at the University of Virginia within the next week, since we live 5 hours from where he will have to be born to receive the life saving medication and surgery he needs. This all has resulted in a lot of financial burdens, not being able to work and having to stay near the hospital until he is born, which it is expected he will also have a NICU stay, which will require us to be away from home even longer. Our family is asking for all prayer warriors and anyone that could consider donating to our family for bills, traveling expenses, hospital expenses, food etc
