Help Callie Moo Walk Again: Support Needed

Donation protected
Hi everyone. I’m writing this for Clifford because he’s struggling and overwhelmed right now, and Callie Moo means everything to him.

Callie’s story goes way back. She was a dumped as a newborn and bottle raised as a tiny puppy. I was aher foster momma back then, and called her Moo Cow (and her sister Cookie). She was adopted to what we thought would be her forever, loving home
When she was two years old, her first adopter abandoned her to the shelter, without a word to anyone who loves her.

The shelter environment terrified her. She shut down completely. She curled up in the back of her kennel, put her head down, and went silent. Because she wasn’t engaging, they labeled her as not thriving and she was scheduled to be euthanized.

She almost didn’t make it out of that building.

A friend from the shelter notified me when they saw my name as her previous foster home. My home was full but I LITERALLY cried, making a video plea for her life on my socials. One of my best friends, Emy, stepped up to foster her at the very last second, and Clifford ended up adopting her. He became her safe place. He gave her the quiet, gentle home she needed, and she has been his heart dog ever since.

Last week Callie began limping. Cliff reached out and we went over symptoms. At first we hoped it was something mild, but she got worse fast. She could not put weight on her back legs and Clifford had to build a pallet and start sleeping on the floor with her because she couldn’t climb into bed anymore.

At the vet today they confirmed the worst. Callie has torn ACLs in both knees. This injury is extremely painful and will not heal on its own. She needs surgical repair on both legs to walk normally again.

The cost of bilateral ACL surgery is enormous. Her dad is still paying off her last emergency visit and just had to replace parts on his car. He is doing everything he can to keep it together, but this is something most people could never afford alone.

Callie Moo is only two years old but has already survived abandonment, twice, and a scheduled euthanasia. She deserved better back then and she deserves better now. She deserves a chance to walk again without pain. Cliff deserves help getting her there after stepping up to save her life. He loves her so much. His little "Callie Moo, aka Calliemander, aka Calamity, Calcium Bromide... And a bunch of other stuff I'm going to come up with over the next few years. She's my new baby lady! Edit: aka Calzone."

If you can donate anything, even a small amount, it truly helps. If you cannot donate, please share this so we can reach more people. Every bit of support brings Callie one step closer to the life she deserves.

Thank you for caring about a dog who has already beaten the odds once. With your help, she can do it again.
