Hello, I am asking for any help as times are tough right now and my cat is going through medical issues. Her name is Callie; she is 8 years young. She developed a very bad choking-like cough every time she drinks water or is on her cat tree. At first, it was not terrible and would only occur once a week. I decided to try to get pet insurance, and I wasted so much money on that as they would not cover ANYTHING because she had coughed in the past. Her calcium levels came back abnormally high, and I got X-rays done for her, and they started her on doxycycline to try. This failed. She is now having these terrible attacks between 4-6 times a day. They last for over 2 minutes each, and it is breaking my heart and terrifying me. She is my best friend and the reason I've gotten through so much in my life. I'm not expecting anyone to donate, but a simple share would go a long way for her. The doctors have plans for the next steps of figuring out what is going on and how to help her. The first next step is a full abdominal ultrasound followed by a tracheal wash so they can fully examine her throat. As everyone knows, vets are not inexpensive, so that is why I am here. I wouldn't be here if she was not everything to me. So far, for these bills, it has been estimated at $1400. Anything helps.
