On January 6th, 2026, my husband, a truck driver, spotted something moving in a field near a dump site outside Lubbock, Texas. When he walked over, he found Calli—trembling, wet, and covered in fleas. She jumped right into his diesel truck, desperate for warmth and safety. He took her to a nearby vet, but she had no chip or collar, so he brought her home to San Antonio on January 10th. From the moment we met her, we knew we wanted to help her heal and become the playful pup she was meant to be.
We started her on vaccines right away, but the vet also discovered that Calli had fractured back teeth and would need an extraction as soon as possible. With a family of our own, two other dogs, and a cat, it’s not easy to cover these unexpected costs. On January 23rd, Calli’s face began to swell, and it’s getting worse each day—making her dental surgery urgent.
The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward Calli’s tooth extraction, her aftercare, and the rest of her vaccines. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference in Calli’s journey to recovery. Thank you so much for helping us give her the healthy, happy life she deserves.
